Excelsior Communities is pleased to announce the addition of The Belvedere to their portfolio. The Belvedere is a 55 and older resort-style rental community that offers an active alternative to traditional senior living. Excelsior Communities today announces the acquisition of 100-unit Preserve at Wood Creek and 104-unit Ridgewood Apartment Homes from Bob Morgan and Landers Communities. These acquisitions expand the Excelsior portfolio to include townhomes as a part of its offerings to renters in greater Rochester. Preserve at Wood Creek and Ridgewood Apartment Homes, located in Webster, NY at 639 Preservation Trail and 1045 Floribunda Way, respectively, include 2- and 3-bedroom townhome apartments that feature attached garages, balconies and private entries. Both communities were purchased at 100% occupancy. Previously acquired from Morgan was Waters Edge Apartments, a 345-unit waterfront apartment community located on Empire Blvd, which closed in August 2020. Upon completion of the acquisition, Excelsior is partnering with interior designers and plans for immediate renovations to both properties, including updates to community spaces and surrounding landscaped areas. As units become vacant, Excelsior will work to renovate unit interiors to offer new residents an updated, modern feel - a typical undertaking for Excelsior. Over the past 3.5 years, the company has renovated over 500 apartments and common areas at its properties throughout Rochester. “We are pleased to announce these acquisitions and to continue to grow our footprint in the well-positioned Webster market.
